A Place with Deep Roots

Stöng has been home to the same Icelandic family since 1870. Originally a traditional farm, the land spans over 1100 hectares and lies 320 meters above sea level — well-suited for farming thanks to its fertile soil and sheltered surroundings.
In 1982, Stöng opened its doors to travelers. The original farmhouse from 1929 still stands and now hosts charming guest rooms, offering a unique blend of history and hospitality.

Natural Comfort, Powered by Geothermal Energy



Since 1998, the farm has harnessed its own geothermal energy — supplying 60°C hot water to heat every house and two inviting outdoor hot tubs. Relax under the stars, surrounded by nothing but nature and silence.
